  • Determine the benefits and/or consequences of isolating electricity with a responsible person or specialist adviser
  • Isolate electricity in an appropriate manner to meet the needs of the incident
  • Wear appropriate PPE when isolating electrical apparatus
  • Implement control measures to prevent reconnection of electricity
  • Communicate status of electricity to personnel and other responders
  • Record and document relevant and appropriate incident information
